It’s a new year, so it’s time for everyone to become a “new me”. Now begins the weight loss journey, and that soda pop drop. Such a convenient time to start, as well. Right before summer, when men need to get shredded and women need to get that coke bottle figure…but we only keep them until we get tired, or busy…and then we forget.
Isn’t that just normal, though? Haven’t we all tried the health reboot resolution? Aren’t there any other ways to keep our health in check (and I’m not just talking physically)?
And why now?
Let’s not waste our time here. Health is important, great. We’ve known that our entire lives, and have had and will continue to have the rest of our entire lives, to focus on it. So why make that the main goal of our new year?
Now, I am not knocking those who choose this route or stay healthy, but we’ve all ridden this wave before. I’m just offering a different type of resolution.
So let’s switch it up.
Let’s face it– maintaining physical health is a lifetime journey. I’ve always had this belief that a New Year’s resolution should be, well, new. It should be unique to you and your dreams. It should excite you. So let’s get rid of those old, generic resolutions. Kick some things off that bucket list. Do something life-changing!
We have 365 days to do something new and have an awesome experience. Why not work towards finally switching it up? Change is great for our mental and emotional health, it’s what makes life interesting and builds character.
If you’d like to start making daily life improvements, here are some resolutions that can aid in that:
Make your bed every morning.
Keep a journal.
Start daily meditation.
Go outside and take a walk once a week.
Read one book each month.
By doing one of these resolutions, one begins to become more motivated. Each of these aid in keeping a balanced life. They help not only stimulate the mind but provide emotional stability. It balances self-care with growth.
Now, if you really want to try something absolutely new, keep reading. I have come up with the most unique resolutions to spice up your new year.
