Let’s talk about jars. As a sustainable baddie, I love a good glass mason jar. They come in all shapes and sizes and they are easier to find than you think. Mason Jars are like cars you never heard of before but then you see one for the first time and now they are everywhere. In order to be more sustainable, you have to acquire an eye for gems. Mason jars are the diamonds. I use my mason jars for any and everything. Mason jars are handy and can be repurposed for anything.
For example, I have a few that I drink out of, one that I use to hold my coffee stirrers, and I also keep one by my plants to remind me to pour one out for them. Where can you get mason jars from? You can 100% buy them. They come in packs. But think about how many glass jars you’ve thrown away. Pasta sauce? Jam? I even have little jars from that fancy yogurt Yoplait sells. I use them as shot glasses actually. I have a good friend who loves pickles. I took one of his empty jars. I store my scarves in there. Took a while for the pickle smell to go away, but you see where I’m going. Reusing glass jars is a super simple way to reduce your waste and soon you too will be addicted to glass jars like me.
